a good bunch, I've had quite a few replies, all of them useful.
Having not birded Australasia before my main priority is to get into as
many different habitats as possible and see a good variety of birds.
Everything apart from House Sparrow, European starling and a few waders
will be new to me! I'm not a list freak, I'm just into some quality
birding. There's a few things I really shouldn't miss like Suberb
Lyrebird, Satin Bowerbird, Green Catbird, Tawny Frogmouth and Superb Fairy
Wren but other than that I don't have any real target species, just to
have some good days out!
Whilst in Sydney I will be restricted to public transport so I think the
Blue Mountains will be out, but I'll also be in Wollongong for a few days
after, with access to a car, so I reckon a visit to the Royal NP must be
in order! If you know any particular spots there I'd be most grateful.
