Can anyone

I belive the buln buln is the Ringneck Parrot (not sure if this is the
official
name) - certainly this name is used for the Mallee Ringneck in Eastman's "The
Parrots of Australia".  I would bet that the second is the coot, though
that is
a guess - in other pats of the world the white bill shield has led to
analogous
names (eg bald pate, used over here for a duck, the American Widgeon).
