I believe Common Mynas were introduced to Australia, to control cane beetles in
Queensland in the late 19thC. When it was found that they were not doing their
job, Cane Toads were introduced. Gee, thanks Queensland.

Common Mynas do mimic to certain extent, but not well enough to want to keep
one for it's mimicry. IMHO, the only way one would want to keep a CM is pressed.
