Fri 29 Nov	Buff-breasted Paradise Kingfisher James Cook University campus, Townsville James Cook Uni campus Townsville. Off Smith Road in dry creek near the School of Indigenous Australian Studies. One seen this morning and again this afternoon by others. Pat & Warren Charlton per Marleen Acton
Wed 27 Nov	Spotted Whistling-Duck Daintree River cruise Spotted Whistling-Duck (1) One single duck seen. Last time observed was in January 2013 Murray Hunt
Mon 25 Nov	Spotted Whistling-Duck Lockhart River Sewage Ponds Hot, humid with approaching thunderstorm Spotted Whistling-Duck (3) 2 on edge and one in water which moved out to join the others. All adults. Observed for 10 minutes in 60x objective at 50m. Rob Reed
Sun 24 Nov	Budgerigar Lynchs Beach, Town of Alva At about 5:30pm Sunday 24/11/20113, two small flocks (10 + 15) of Budgerigar seen in Casuarinas on the first sand dune, about 25 metres from the from the beach. First alerted to their presence by their unmistakeable chatter, then when approached, both flocks flew off heading south. Unusual to see this species right on the beach. Rob Dwyer
	Cockatiel Cungulla Beach Cockatiel (1) (Male) Quite uncommon to find this species at the beach-side. A possible drought refugee from the inland, it was feeding in a tall Eucalypt about 20 metres from the High Water Mark in the Public Park at the end of Sword Street. BirdLife Townsville
Sat 16 Nov	Eastern Yellow Wagtail Cockatoo Creek crossing, Old Telegraph Track Camped overnight 16 - 17th Nov. Eastern yellow wagtail observed. Eastern Yellow Wagtail (1) On small dead tree at rivers edge early morning. Appeared to be male nominate race in full breeding plumage. Bright yellow breast but distinctly white throat. Constantly preening and teetering long tail. White eyebrow and brown crown. Flew from snag to snag undulating deeply as it did so. Did not call. Prolonged, close views even allowing me to open Slater and ID the bird most closely as race tshuchensis. Black legs and no white bar on wings in flight distinguishing it from the grey wagtail.
