Sun 20 Oct	Radjah Shelduck Bushland Beach, Townsville Radjah Shelduck (1) in mangrove lined creek, photo to birdline Ed Pierce
Sun 20 Oct	Black Butcherbird rufous morph Tyto Wetlands, Ingham Immature Black Butcherbird (race rufescens) with black splotch on breast in Tyto this morning being chased/challenged/wooed? by regular black member of species. Tony Ashton
	Black Falcon Dalip Road (near Atherton-Malanda Rd) One individual with a large group of Black Kite at a newly harvested cane field. The mini-invasion of this species over recent months appears to have tapered off, this is the first one I have seen in a few weeks. Record shot attached. John Grant
Sat 19 Oct	Sanderling Bushland Beach, Townsville Sanderling (2), among mixed species flock; photographed individual with one leg. Niel Bruce
Thu 17 Oct	Sarus Crane Mungalla Station (Forrest Beach, Queensland) Two Sarus Crane walking slowly across shallow water near camera tower shortly before sunset. Three Brolgas nearby. Tony Ashton, Rod Warnock
	Australian Pratincole Lake Evan,(Brady Road Swamp) Mareeba Australian Pratincole (2) were flying around above the lake for a minute or so, unmistakable in flight, heard calling in flight also, got some slightly blurred photos for ID, a first for this site. (Moderator Note:- At least 4 Australian Pratincole were seen at this site last week by a non-Eremaea reporter). Enoch Bultreys
Wed 16 Oct	White-throated Nightjar 12NM to sea off Weipa ***update to previous report*** I have just seen another bird flying south leading me to wonder if the first came from the ship or just coincidence while alongside in the pilot boat. Also seen flying south today at sea were several Dollarbird. Ben Bright
	White-throated Nightjar Weipa, 15 NM offshore Single bird flew from outbound bulk carrier, heading south. Have seen several over previous years. Ben Bright
Tue 15 Oct	Wood Sandpiper, Yellow-billed Spoonbill Bromfield Swamp Two or more Wood Sandpiper, 4 Yellow-billed Spoonbill, among many other waterbirds in the swamp, which is drying out in places. many Sharp-tailed Sandpipers (c.40) and Red-kneed Dotterel (10+) also present. John Grant
Mon 7 Oct	Western Sandpiper Chinaman Creek Dam, Cloncurry, Queensland Western Sandpiper (1) Potential sighting, not recorded in original list due to uncertainty. Upon examination of photos by colleagues this sighting is a strong possibility but further confirmation will be needed. (Moderator's Note: - Possible sighting - Open for any comments please) Gus Daly
