Thu 17 Oct Australian Painted Snipe Alice Springs Waste Stabilisation Ponds
Single male still present, seen at dusk in EP7 near the seat.

Mon 14 Oct Oriental Plover, Sanderling Alice Springs Waste Stabilisation Ponds
Early morning survey with Gavin Bieber and alone for the rest of the morning while water sampling. Oriental Plover (2) Photographed. Non-breeding plumage and one appeared to be sub-adult. Lurking in short thick vegetation with Australian Pratincoles north of SAA050 Sanderling (2) Photographed. Both non-breeding plumage, feeding along the shoreline of EP10 immediately east of the bird hide. Constantly harassed by Black-fronted Dotterels.
