Little Button-quail

Landed on the bonnet of a mates tractor at night as he was driving back to his farm. He sent me this the next day.... he got out and the LBQ hopped off the bonnet onto the ground where he photographed it with his phone! He then picked it up and placed it back out into the closest crop.

Cape Barren Goose (4)

Had a great trip to see the Great White Sharks. The trip was great for birding too with Rufous Night Herons at the Port Lincoln marina. As the last hour to the islands is over open waters it was great to see some pelagic birds like Shy Albatross, White-faced Storm-petrels and a single Brown Skua and hundreds of Sooty shearwaters!
