Published sightings for the week ending 22 Sep 2013.

Fri 20 Sep Dusky Moorhen, Freckled Duck (3), Pink-eared Duck (1), Hardhead Goulds Lagoon, Granton
Freckled Ducks still near reeds in the middle, one Pink-eared swimming with Hardheads and Australasian Shovelers (both numerous) near roosting pelicans. Dusky Moorhen seen from hide in the reeds nearby, staying with the Purple Swamphens and quite shy. Also a Great Egret.

Thu 19 Sep Swift Parrot "Otto's Grotto", Ulverstone
Around 6 birds found feeding between flowering Blue Gums, in the strong winds, late this afternoon. A regular spot for them to turn up on both southward and northward migration.

Sun 15 Sep Sooty Alb, Light-mantled Sooty Alb, Grey-headed Alb, Blue Petrel, Grey Petrel, Salvin's Prion Eaglehawk Neck Pelagic
Amongst 35 species of seabird we had 4 Sooty Albatross, 4 Light-mantled Sooty Albatross, 4 Grey-headed Albatross, 38 Blue Petrels, 10 Grey Petrels, 1 Salvin's Prion, 3 Antarctic Prions, 1 Slender-billed Prion, 3 Soft-plumaged Petrels and 230 White-headed Petrels.

Sat 14 Sep Light-mantled Sooty Albatross, Grey-headed Albatross, Blue Petrel, Grey Petrel, Salvin's Prion Eaglehawk Neck Pelagic
Amongst 29 species of seabird we had 2 Light-mantled Sooty Albatross, 2 Grey-headed Albatross, 32 Blue Petrels, 7 Grey Petrels, 2 Salvin's Prions, and 110 White-headed Petrels.
