Sun 1 Sep White-necked Heron Copping
White-necked Heron (1) In roadside paddock just north of Copping on my return from Eaglehawk Neck pelagic. Same site and circumstances as my sighting on 22nd June 2013.

Went back to check out the "same" spot that had been reported recently, with numbers reportedly falling. Today there were 10.

Azure Kingfisher Sisters Beach
Single bird perched 100m upstream from footbridge on Sisters Ck. Tide well out and falling.

Sat 31 Aug Royal Spoonbill Orielton Lagoon
Three birds seen on Susie Islet, Orielton Lagoon, Sorell. Seen the species often in the area, but usually only a single bird.

Fri 30 Aug Blue-billed Duck South Riana
At least 8 Blue-billed ducks - both sexes. On a farm dam near South Riana.

Wed 28 Aug White-necked Heron Alonnah, Bruny Island.
White-necked Heron (1) In same roadside paddock as 2 previous sightings just east of the town boundary.

Wed 28 Aug White-necked Heron Sprent near Ulverstone
White-necked Heron (4) Kindred Rd Sprent. Seen at same farm site as previously reported. 24 were seen in mid-July

Mon 26 Aug Swift Parrot Tollymore Rd, Table Cape, Wynyard
Several birds said to be present in blossoming Eucalyptus globulus for preceding three weeks. Very early. Birds seen using tree holes last year. Query NW breeding event.

Five birds (4 ad,1 imm) again flushed from low Tea Tree on old hospital creek.
