Sun 7 Jul	Little Black Cormorant Marina Park Clear sunny day. No wind early, but sea breeze SSE 15-20 km/h late afternoon. Little Black Cormorant (500) flying over in formation groups of about 30. Judy Leitch and Sandra Gallienne 4:30pm Judy Leitch
	Chestnut-breasted Mannikins+more Longreach Found a large flock of Chestnut-breasted Mannikins this morning on the Longreach town common- not common for this area. At the local Sewerage Treatment Plant recently- as well as the usual suspects and 100 or so Pink-eared Ducks, there were both Australian Spotted Crake and Spotless Crake. Also four feral cats. 	Spotted Quail Thrush Moggill Conservation Park Four Spotted Quail Thrush. One flushed showing spread tail nicely. The other three, one male and two females foraging on path. Record shot taken with I-Phone through binoculars. Adrian Brooks
	Pale-vented Bush-hen Ninderry, Sunshine Coast 2 birds calling continually in my garden - very unusual for this species to be vocal in winterr Greg Roberts
	Masked Owl Conondale National Park 1 male bird above Booloumba Creek. Interesting to see how pale it is to compared to another I saw recently. Lousy image unfortunately. Greg Roberts, Luke Bennett, Terry Bennett
Sat 6 Jul	Common Diving-Petrel Southport Pelagic On the way back from the shelf we found a Common Diving-Petrel - sadly floating belly-up on the water. Also some of the Fairy Prions didn't look too happy. Highlight at the shelf was a Black-bellied Storm-Petrel. Nikolas Haass and all on board the Southport Pelagic organised by Paul Walbridge
	Black Kite Dakabin Waste Management Facility Approximately 100 Black Kites circling in the thermals above the dump. Dezmond Wells
	Common Diving Petrel Point Lookout, North Stradbroke Island One south past Point Lookout this afternoon, albeit distantly. Still plenty of Prions about, approx 220 north during afternoon. All seemed to be Fairy. Also 12 Fluttering Shearwater north otherwise just Gannets and Crested Terns. Andy Jensen
	Black Kite Gatton-Helidon Road, Grantham at 27 34 35S 152 11 01E Extremely large numbers of Black Kites are in the Lockyer Valley at the moment, Ron Anderson
Thu 4 Jul	Blue-billed Duck (female) Lake Galletly, University Queensland, Lawes On lake with other ducks. Ron Anderson
Wed 3 Jul	Cotton Pygmy-Goose Dowse Lagoon, Sandgate Male and female sighted from observation deck at Southerden Street side of lagoon Vince Bugeja
Tue 2 Jul	Black-browed Albatross, Giant Petrel, Great-winged Petrel, Providence Petrel, Brown Skua Point Lookout, North Stradbroke Island An 8 hour seawatch resulted in: 2 B-b Albatross, 1 Giant Petrel sp (pres Northern), 2 G-w Petrels, 1 Providence Petrel, 1 Brown Skua, 622 Common Noddies, 15 Fluttering Shearwaters, 123 Aust Gannets (95 Adults) and 2 Prion sp (pres Fairy). A little disappointing on the Albatross front given the wild winds & huge seas. Colin Reid, Stu Pickering & David Sutton
Mon 1 Jul	Fairy Prion Lady Elliot Island A single bird seen very close inshore (as close as 10 metres) and another seen the next day more distantly so could not be identified to species. Sean Dooley
	Spotted Harrier Lady Elliot Island A pair of Spotted Harriers seen well, hunting near the airstrip. Staff at the resort say they have been on the island for several weeks. Sean Dooley
	Spotted Harrier, Swamp Harrier, Little Lorikeet 'Tee Trees' Wetlands, Arundel Great views this afternoon of an adult Spotted Harrier hunting low over the wetlands. 1 immature Swamp Harrier also seen and a small group of Little Lorikeets feeding in a flowering Eucalypt. Also interesting to see a Galah x Little Corella hybrid amongst a small flock of Little Corella. No photos unfortunately, camera was staying dry at home. Todd Burrows
Mon 24 Jun	Australian Shoveler Kingaroy Weekly survey of town and surrounds, mid winter, cold, dry, light breeze. Australian Shoveler 2 pair with white eyed ducks opposite sewerage ponds Doug Armstrong
