Birdline Australian Capital Territory

Published sightings for the week ending 23 Jun 2013.

Wed 19 Jun Brown Gerygone, Pink Robin Australian National Botanic Gardens
On a cold and breezy morning, the COG WW group sighted several Brown Gerygone at the lower end of the Rainforest Gully. Also one female Pink Robin was observed near the Bowerbird's bower.

Sat 15 Jun White-headed Pigeon Jerrabombera Wetlands
5 White-headed Pigeons flying overhead across Jerrabombera Creek. I first saw four birds flying overhead and they were white underneath with dark wings although I wasn't entirely sure of the ID at that stage. Then about a minute later a single bird flew over in the same direction with the same underbody markings but it banked slightly which enabled me to see the dark dorsal surface from the neck down and it had a reddish eye which made me confident they were White-headed Pigeons I had seen.

Birdline Australian Capital Territory is hosted by Eremaea Birds.
