Sun 2 Jun Olive-backed Oriole Kellys Swamp & Jerrabomberra Wetlands, Fyshwick
A juvenile Olive-backed Oriole observed outside Ardea hide.

Sat 1 Jun Gang-gang Cockatoo Canberra Grammar School, Red Hill
A flock of 28 Gang-gang Cockatoos flew around CGS this morning and landed in a poplar. This is the single largest flock I have observed. The largest flock reported in the ABR for 2011/2012 was 20.

Fri 31 May Pink-eared Duck Fyshwick Sewage Treatment Plant
52 Pink-eared Duck, 11 Shoveler, plus Grey Teal. Also single Spotted Harrier. All on the pond opposite the entrance to the Jerra Wetlands office. Visible from road, no need to trespass into the construction site ! At 15.00 today. [Moderator's comment: 52 is the largest number of Pink-ears at this site reported to Eremaea since 2006.]

Brown Gerygone - hard to count but between 5 and 10 birds seen in rainforest gully. Pink Robin - brown bird at top end of rainforest gully
