Sturt lagoon. First record for this location.
Pink-eared Duck (Malacorhynchus membranaceus) (50) Around 50 birds feeding in
the lagoon- they've been around in steadily increasing numbers since August.

Buff-breasted Sandpiper (Tryngites subruficollis) (1) Feeding on the track by
picking insects off the samphire. Located again on 16/12/12.

Location: Point Sturt Peninsula
Painted Button-quail (Turnix varius) (1) A female bird disturbed from an area
of established Pink Gum/Mallee Box revegetation,about halfway along Point Sturt
Road. Almost a year since several turned up in the same patch-good to know they
are around again!
