Two birds flew over, one calling. Also a Weebill on 4th August, first record at this site since 2007, and a Square-tailed Kite a little north from the reserve up Hawkesbury Road.

Near the swamp about one km from the Moggill Ferry along Moggill Road, an immature bird. This may well be the long-staying Prior's Pocket bird.

Bird in non-breeding plumage sighted in Eucalypts along tree-lined dry watercourse.

Black Falcon
Amberley
Single bird observed hawking over grass and diving at feeding Galahs. The bird operated in the area for over 30mins and provided great views. This species has been regularly observed in this area but this was the first occasion I have been able to trail the bird for such a length of time.

Microwave Tower near Mulgaview Station
Have recorded this species at this location since 1989

Approx 34 kms west of St George
Note: if visiting this location please be aware of possible damage to photographic equipment due to the Microwave Tower emissions. Several years ago images taken on a digital-camera were corrupted, possibly by this technology.
