Sun 19 Aug Wood duck Wights Mountain, Samford Valley
Nesting on ground under neighbours house with a clutch of 12 eggs. Nest diameter approx 200 mm and made of down. Private property - no access.

Surprise appearance today of lone Tahiti Petrel. Not often recorded in the winter months.

14 plumed whistling ducks on the billabong adjacent to town. Flock of 50+ flock pigeons also flew over during the walk.
