Sun 5 Aug Spotted Harrier Kellys Swamp & Jerrabomberra Wetlands, Fyshwick
Spotted Harrier (1) Crossed from FSP to Kelly's a couple of meters in front of me. Black 'fingertips' clearly visible, excellent views.

White-bellied Sea-Eagle Cotter Mouth, Cotter Road, ACT
White-bellied Sea-Eagle (1) Adult. Initially perched in a casuarina then observed patrolling the river.

Thu 2 Aug Scarlet Honeyeater Intersection Miller and David Street O'Connor
A brown-plumaged Scarlet Honeyeater was observed late this afternoon in a mixed flock with Striated Thornbills and Grey Fantails. Discovered from call, the bird fed briefly in a flowering Banksia and then departed southward into Turner with the flock.

4 Superbs flying east over Haydon Drive from the University, my first sighting of them since Autumn

Wed 1 Aug Painted Button-quail Mt Taylor, Canberra Nature Park
Between 2 and 3 pm - 1 Painted Button-quail, clearly seen in bright sunshine amidst short grass tussocks and rocks, upper slopes, northwest side of hill. Flew short distance and settled when flushed.

Tue 31 Jul Superb Parrot Mackellar
Two observed for approx 2 mins wheeling and calling overhead, then settling in eucalypts over from Dumas Street opposite the shops.

Mon 30 Jul Spotted Quail-thrush Molonglo Gorge
Spotted Quail-thrush (2) Male and female observed near the carpark. I wonder if this site is the closest to the CBD for the species?
