Mon 7 May Little Eagle (several) Cnr Anderson's Road and Princess St, Bellarine Peninsula
Following the recent leads of Tom Fletcher and Gordon McCarthy I was fortunate to spot a pair of light morph little eagles quartering paddocks around the intersection above around mid-morning. Both most definately light morph. Another lone light morph was seen only a few km south along Princess Street within minutes. Later in the day I saw a pair - one light, the other dark morph in almost exactly the same spot. Not lucky enough to spot the STK. Note the close resemblance of the underwing pattern of the dark morph Little Eagle and STK

Sun 6 May New Zealand Storm-Petrel, Long-finned Pilot Whale Portland - Birdlife Australia Pelagic
Our trip was exciting because of the pod of 20 Long-finned Pilot Whales that we saw very closely as they swam up to the boat and went under it. But it became exceptional when we recorded Victoria's first New Zealand Storm-Petrel (Paul's photo attached). We also saw a White-fronted Tern and a Brown Skua on a day when the number of species and the number of individuals were quite low.
