Red Backed Button Quail
O'Reillys Guesthouse, Lamington National Park SE Qld
A Very tiny bird- looks immature size- rescued from in the water at a Lap Pool (luckily), later on released in afternoon, seemed ok and energetic. Note the size of finger ring in picture compared to head.

Woke up to a Barking Owl calling at 4am. It continued calling outside my window for 10min. Rare in Brisbane, and a big surprise in this suburban location!

Springers Lagoon, Gracemere
Bar-breasted Honeyeater (4) Feeding in mistletoe on heavily infested eucalypts. Observed in same trees several times over two hours. Photographed.
