Dear Friend of the Western Ground Parrot,

We just received news that Abby Berryman's contract for the position of Western
Ground Parrot Recovery Project officer will expire on 10 May with no funding in
sight to continue her employment. We are seriously concerned what impact this
will have on the 110 Western Ground Parrots now left in the whole world.

The jobs of the staff working on the Integrated Fauna Recovery Program which
includes the experimental cat control project are also under threat.

If you have a few minutes to spare could you please send a brief message to
Bill Marmion and ask him to continue to support the Western Ground Parrot
Recovery Project and the Integrated Fauna Recovery Program with adequate
funding? The Minister's e-mail address is:

Please share this information with whoever you think might be willing to lobby
the Minister.

Thanks for your help!

Kind regards,

Anne Bondin
