end of the reserve.

Location: Linear Park Walkerville
Cockatiel (Nymphicus hollandicus) (1) 1 Cockatiel seen on the ground feeding
with a group of 20 to 30 Rock Doves. Flew off with Rock Doves, but then
returned to sit on the power line overhead.

Crested Shrike-tit (Falcunculus frontatus) (4) Down the gully heading towards
the dam. 2 adult with young. Also with a Golden Whistler just to make things
interesting.

Pacific Golden Plover (Pluvialis fulva) (7) The number of birds seen earlier in
the month has increased to 7, Again, they were among a flock of Crested Tern &
Silver Gull.
Fairy Tern (Sterna nereis) (4) 4 birds in non-breeding plumage were present.
Greater Sand Plover (Charadrius leschenaultii) (1) 1 bird in non-breeding
plumage.
These sightings were made from 0900 hrs during the morning high tide. There was
a strong S wind, & the smaller shorebirds such as Red-necked Stint, Red-capped
Plover, Ruddy Turnstone & the Greater Sand Plover were sheltering behind clumps
of seaweed.

Location: St Hallett Winery, Tanunda
Black Falcon (Falco subniger) (1) Only the second time I have seen a Black
Falcon at the winery, this bird came from the farming country out to the west
and dived through the neighbouring farms Feral Pigeons then preceeded to soar
on a thermal heading in a southerly direction towards Altona Landcare Reserve.
One of the wineries resident Kestrals gave it a good seeing off as it drifted
south!
Great Cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo) (1) Flying quite low in a SE direction,
often see lots of Little Pied Cormorants flying over here but this is the first
time I have seen a Great fly over
