One thing is for sure, I won't be paying any useless Qantas carbon
neutral nonsense now we have the carbon tax. Not that I would anyway - I
certainly would not trust Qantas and its overpaid CEO to ensure that
money paid as a "carbon offset" actually goes anywhere but straight into
the bottomless pockets of Qantas stakeholders.

Dear All,
Further to the thread I started, here is the relevant info from the Qantas
Website about Flying Carbon Neutral. Cheaper than the Carbon Tax!!!
Offset your flight to reduce your climate change impact. Our program only chooses
independently accredited carbon credits and is verified under the Australian Government's
National Carbon Offset Standard – Carbon Neutral™ initiative.
Do you want to offset your share of flight emissions for this trip (1,058
kilograms CO2-e)?
Yes, offset flights - $9.76 AUD ($4.88 x 2 passengers)
No thanks
Yours in all things "green"
