The following is a digest of Sightings Reported on Birdpedia for the period
Monday, August 15, 2011 to Sunday, August 21, 2011:
Area: SA
Date: Saturday, August 13, 2011
Location: Eden Hills
Superb Parrot (Polytelis swainsonii) (1) One male at a bird feeder in back yard
in Eden Hills. Observer was able to get quite close. When she replenished the
feeder the next day, the parrot seemed to be waiting for her and was quite
impatient with the regular Rainbow Lorikeets.
I realize that it's most likely an aviary escapee but it's presence at her bird
feeder is certainly being enjoyed by the observer.
