An attempt to post this yesterday also seemed not to get through. Just received a phone call from Richard Baxter. His party has just joined a group led by David James who has been on Cocos (Keeling) Islands for a few days. David's group reports a Eurasian Hobby on Horsburgh Is and a Watercock on West. There is an obliging Yellow Bittern on West and Richard reports a Large Hawk Cuckoo and possible Japanese Sparrowhawk on West and the island residents report a large raptor! There is water from a recent cyclone everywhere.Mike Carter 30 Canadian Bay Road Mount Eliza VIC 3930 Tel (03) 9787 7136 ===============================To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: http://birding-aus.org =============================== |
