Location: Price Saltfields, Yorke Peninsula
Terek Sandpiper (Xenus cinereus) (1) One bird was seen walking along the edge
of a sand island in pond 4. Also of interest in the same location was the
sighting of a Black-winged Stilt sitting on a nest made of dry & fresh
vegetation.A full report of the short Field Trip made by M. Tiller & C. Thomas

Date: Wednesday, November 17, 2010
Location: Goolwa Bird Hide.
Latham's Snipe (Gallinago hardwickii) (3)
Wood Sandpiper (Tringa glareola) (2)
The Wood Sandpipers were seen from the road side and close to the Sanctuary
sign, to the right of the Bird Hide.
I walked furthur around the road side, watched from one spot and a Latham Snipe
flew, back towards the Sanctuary sign. Moving further to the right and scanning
with binoculars I found 2 more Latham Snipe. Hopefully there are even more
there hiding in perfect habitat.
There is plenty of water and should be a great place for waders later in the
season. Did see one large snake down in the reeds.
