the south eastern corner of the park. Seen earlier this year at Browns Rd

Location: Hart Rd, Aldinga Scrub CP
White-bellied Sea-Eagle (Haliaeetus leucogaster) (1) Seen during Fleurieu
Birdwatchers excursion, circling over the eastern side of Aldinga Scrub CP from
Hart Rd entrance. An immature bird with quite a lot of white starting to show
underneath. It was being mobbed by Little Ravens and Magpies and a flock of
Starlings.

Location: Dirt Road between Sturt Hwy and Gomersal Road, Sheoak Log
Black Falcon (Falco subniger) (1) Flushed off roadside post, flew low beside
car for 100metres (getting mobbed by an Aust. Magpie!) before heading off in a
southerly direction. Probably moving around between all the fires being lit at
the moment by farmers burning the stubbles in the area!

250 m downstream of Morphett St Bridge. 50 m upstream of Parklands pipepline
rig.
White-browed Scrubwren (Sericornis frontalis) (1) Male seen fossicking at knee
height amongst dense extoic riparian trees. Earthworm in mandible.

Location: St Hallett Winery, Tanunda
Horsfield's Bronze-Cuckoo (Chrysococcyx basalis) (1) Flew in, landed and
started calling about 10 metres from where I was working on the edge of a
vineyard, stayed for about 2min before moving off a couple of hundred metres in
a northerly direction and landed in another vineyard.

Australian Pelican (Pelecanus conspicillatus) (200) Water levels almost equal
on lake and river sides of the 'regulator' and channel around Goose Island
quite full. 200 Pelican on regulator. Other species of note around Clayton Bay
and Goose island channel were 40 Royal Spoonbill, 10 Yellow-billed Spoonbill,
12 Great Egret, 8 White Ibis, 6 Purple Swamphen, 2 Black-winged Stilt, 30
Red-rumped Parrot and about 80 crested Pigeon.

Australian Pelican (Pelecanus conspicillatus) (160) The water level in the lake
has risen almost to the base of the cliffs. !60 Pelican together with 60 Silver
Gull, 30 White Ibis, 12 Caspian Tern, 1 Crested Tern, 8 Yellow-billed
Spoonbill, 5 Great Egret and 2 Australian Shelduck.

and blue pipe/valve assembly.
Spotless Crake (Porzana tabuensis) (1) Called in hoping to see Michael Stead's
recently reported scrub-wren at North Adelaide. After some time watching the
area I walked down to the bank to overlook a small inlet separated from the
river. Very surprised when a moorhen walked out of the reeds followed by a
Spotless Crake which quietly walked straight towards me on a mat of reeds.
White-browed Scrubwren not sighted.

causing a disturbance amongst New Holland Honeyeaters and White-plumed
Honeyeaters every time the Cuckoo moved to another perch.

Whimbrel (Numenius phaeopus) (1)
This sighting from the carpark at the end of Chapel Rd Hindmarsh Island.
One Whimbrel seen feeding and moving with a variety of other birds, including 3
Pacific Golden Plover, 6 Little Egret and one juv Gul-billed Tern. Swamp
Harrier moved through the area with a send off from a Silver Gull then Little
Raven. Seen by Teresa Jack and Peter Gower.
