over half an hour feeding on lerps (very extensive presence of lerps) on
the leaves of the flowering Yellow Gum. Didnt observe any feeding on the
extensive flowering although that could have been happening. Birds
actively flying from tree to tree and calling. Amongst the fully ledged
adults I observed between 6 - 8 juveniles.

then they joined a large mixed feeding flock of silvereyes, superb

but mostly seemed to be squabbling with the birds in this group. (6).

A single male feeding (on insects?) with New Holland Honeyeater, Red

the Watersedge Close entrance to the reserve; when I first saw it,
without binoculars, I thought Eastern Spinebill; then the red flash on
the throat suggested Mistetoebird, but bins revealed Scarlet Honeyeater.
I have lived in Knoxfield for 38 years and have never seen this species
nearer than Mallacoota!
