Hi Bob

On Birding-Aus Mike Carter recently mentioned a Channel-billed Cuckoo in Mt Eliza (c. 50km from the Melbourne GPO), feeding on Moreton Bay Figs, many years ago.

In "middle ring" Melbourne there was a report of a C-b C at Braeside Park (c25km from the GPO) on 10/12/05 in Bird Observer no. 841.

And I was told about a report, with photos, to BOCA from Landcox Park in Brighton East (c12km from the GPO) on or about 24/8/2005. If anyone has more details (it may have been published in the Bird Observer) please let me know.

Michael Norris
