Bob,If you're interested in ethno-archaeology & birds, the following may interest you (& others here). A former member of the Victroian Malleefowl Recovery Group, John Morieson, has researched aboriginal astronomy including a constallation called Neilloan (the "Spirit Malleefowl" - Lowan is a northwest Victorian word for Malleefowl). http://www.malleefowlvictoria.org.au/astronomy.htmlJohn has taken me to see a location in central Victoria which he believes is a former Aboriginal ceremonial site based on a Malleefowl Dreaming... Cheers, Ross Macfarlane |
