Feather identification

All this talk of feathers has reminded I have a feather in my possession
(bad me) that I need identified.

I found it on the corner of Cambridge and Jersey Streets in Wembley, Perth
(so maybe 4km west of the city, in a busy suburb). It is dark brown with
white spots. I'm figuring it might be a tawny frogmouth (which I have seen
at nearby Perry Lakes) or a nightjar (I've never seen a nightjar).

Anyone have any ideas?
