Hi All,

Thanks to those who have replied so far - but I didn't really explain myself
that well the first time. I'm flying from Sydney and picking up a car from GC
Airport and staying in Surfer's Paradise - not driving up there. I'm really
looking for somewhere to bird in the immediate vicinity of the Gold Coast
itself - anything more than an hour's drive away isn't really feasible due to
timings.

Again, any ideas would be great. Even if no advice for Mangrove Honeyeater, any
decent birding spot would be great.

Cheers

Tim

Dear All,

I'm heading up to the Gold Coast/Surfer's Paradise tomorrow for a one day trip
(staying overnight with my son for a football match) but would like to see
Mangrove Honeyeater - seems to be in range, and it's a bird I haven't seen.

Any ideas, and also any good general birding spots for a couple of hours? We're
staying in Surfer's Paradise.

Any advice gratefully received!

Cheers

Tim Jones
