Lots of examples have been given of birds and animals being able to identify 
human individuals.  Yet I know intelligent humans who are very bad at it, and 
most of us aren't very good at recognising individual animals unless they have 
distinctive markings.  So this skill is not necessarily an indication of 
intelligence.
