I'll be watching this thread with interest. A few years back I made some
enquiries about 4WD hire for a planned trip from Perth to Broome and all the
companies I investigated (except for Wicked Vans) did not allow their 4WDs
off the bitumen, which defeats the whole purpose and annoyed me no end, why
would I pay more for a 4WD when I can't use it for it's intended purpose?
