In my opinion, the plumage of this bird is too worn to be able to make any
proper assessment of wing and rear end structure essential in determining a
satisfactory identification. Moreover, otherwise that bird has no strong
features that would place it high on my list of individuals that are likely
candidates as possible American Golden Plovers. That is not to say it isn't
of course.
