Yesterday at Lake Canobolas near Orange I watched a Little Bittern skulking through the reeds. A Little Bittern was heard here last year during November but couldn't be seen. Also at Lake Canobolas yesterday was a Little Grassbird showing well. There was no sign of the pair of Blue Billed Ducks seen here last month.
