Hi Paul,
A while ago I had the chance to chat to one of the keepers who ran the
free-flight bird raptor show at Alice Springs Desert Park. He mentioned
that there were a pair of wild Wedge-tailed Eagles that would sometimes
harass their Wedgie. This pair was known to staff as being able to take out
Black-footed Rock Wallabies on the nearby slopes of the hills. I also seem
to recall someone telling me a story about a pair of Wedgies going after an
adult Emu, though they had no idea if the birds were successful.
Regards,
Chris
