Cattle Egret is in Ardea - Ardea ibis, or more correctly for the
Australian bird Ardea ibis coromanda. They have wandered through a few
genera, Egretta, Ardeola, Bubulcus, but now they are parked in Ardea.
May as well leave the common name as Cattle Egret, they may be back in
Egretta one day.
Cheers,
Carl Clifford

Given bird namers propensity to 'fix' names, eg Scarlet Myzomela,
making all

are all
white (well, they were), so Blue Crane--> Blue Egret? :) ...and Cattle
Heron? As the Cattle Egret is closer to Ardea?
