Hi Frank,Thanks for the reply. I was only going on my viewing of one photo taken at some distance and it certainly looked like a juvenile to me. You have the advantage of personally seeing the bird. HANZAB does say, however, that juveniles may have a violet tinge to the centre of the throat. I banded a few juvenile Dollarbirds a few years back and they were quite variable in the amount of red at the base of the bill, some being quite reddish. Are there any other photos available?
