I have just read about Dollarbird plumages in HANZAB and it states that moult from juvenile to immature plumage begins soon after leaving the nest but it is not known when finished. Adult plumage is attained at about 12 months of age. So I stand corrected - the bird could easily be an immature by now but isn't likely to attain adult plumage until next Spring-Summer.
