Last year my father told me he saw a quail (couldn't identify its species) running frantically around Angel place in the city, not far from Martin Place. He described it to be rather large and brown. I assumed it may have been a wayward Brown Quail or perhaps even a Japanese Quail which managed to escape from the grasp of a chopping board.
