Hi Graham, one cannot put "travel insurance firm" and "reputable" in the
same sentence. They are a contradiction in terms.
My experience has been that they ALWAYS find a way of either not paying
out at all or significantly reducing the payout on some pretext or
other.
I've given up using them. I put my valuable gear in my hand / carry-on
bag and only have clothes in the hold luggage. After all, the clothing I
take on twitches is usually old bush bashing stuff and not worth that
much anyway. Decent clothing I wear during the journey. I've had a hold
bag delayed once but never actually lost it.
Tony.
