Hi all,

Even if the Pied Currawong was observed feeding the juvenile Koel it is not proof that it reared it. I witnessed a juvenile Koel being fed by a variety of other species some years back at Port Stephens NSW. It was hard to determine what the host species was but it was most likely a large honeyeater (?Friarbird). The other birds couldn't ignore the incessant begging of the cuckoo.
