A beautiful morning in Sydney and 40 species seen in about an hour wandering around Lake Belvedere and Mason Park. Mangrove Gerygone in the melaleuca at Lake Belvedere was a new bird in BP for me. There are plenty of nesting darters around. Otherwise, quite busy but nothing unusual. Red-rumped parrots, nesting stilts with very cute youngters, two pacific golden plover and one marsh sandpiper amongst maybe 150 sharpies at Mason Park. Merry Christmas everyone!
