I and the Bird

I have no objection to it being posted, so long as the subject line makes it
clear what it is. Usually it does, but this time it caused many of us to
assume it was spam. Noone seemed to guess what IATB stood for.

Personally though, I don't get the site. It's about birds, but only US birds
as far as I've read. If you were to point us to some Australian stuff you
might get more interest here.

And what's the difference between http://10000birds.com/iandthebird and
http://www.iowavoice.com/2007/12/13/i-and-the-bird-64? I don't understand what
half this stuff is about. As soon as I see the word "caucases" I turn off.
I'm sure it's really interesting to US birders, but only a tiny bit to me. I'm
sure there's some stuff in there I'd read, but too much that I wouldn't.

I have to admit that I usually don't "get" blogs of any kind (the occasional
one is great). What's wrong with just posting the stuff to lists like this?

On reflection my email was rude and I apologise. Mea culpa. I did not intend
to offend you but can see why my email would have. I'm very sorry.

More politely (I hope), my objection to the posting every time this blog
updates is that it is a commercial blog: http://10000birds.com/iandthebird/

Those who are interested can subscribe to that blog. I dont' think b'aus
needs to be updated every time someone blogs about a bird.

apologetically,

Keith
