Painted Snipe still there,seen by 6 birders this afternoon at farm dam beside 
689 Cove Rd Stanmore (north-east of Woodford).Birds present beside dead tree in 
left of dam, in small pond towards road, and in and out of grasses along fence 
line behind dead tree.One also flew across dam and foraged on right side dam 
edge in full view.Total of 5 PS seen.Also seen were Latham's Snipe, Glossy Ibis 
(1), Magpie Geese, nesting Australian Grebe, Cotton Pygmy Geese 
(7),Black-fronted Dotterel.
   At a larger dam further up the road (at 699) another Latham's Snipe, as well 
as Pacific Heron, Red-kneed Dotterel.
 ( In the mid 90's paddocks along Cove Rd were much wetter than now and 
frequently had Brolga as well as large numbers of Magpie Geese).
