Well said John.
I think there's as much room for a little light-hearted fun as there is for
serious discussion on this list.

Subject: birding Aus postings - what not to do
Surely we all want our birding experiences to be enjoyable! I've
been 'hauled over the coals' by a couple of people from this forum,
and it's not enjoyable! Someone lees thick skinned, and particularly
someone new to the forum, or new to birding might be tempted to give
up on Birding-Aus as a useful tool, unless we can lighten up, and not
take ourselves too seriously. I agree with a number of others here
today, that unless a post is offensive, if people don't like a
certain post (or contributor), just delete them! Life is too short -
and birding too much fun - to try to take the fun out of it.
