Hi all,I don't know about the Song Thrush in Melbourne, but I do know you need to be careful where you go bird-watching there. I had an hour to spend in transit the other day at Melbourne ariport, on my way back to beautiful Tassie. Having heard of Purple-crowned Lorikeets at Melbourne airport, I went roaming just outside the terminal building with binoculars in tow (only found Muskies), but was very quickly confronted by Security, wanting to know if there was a reason I was taking photos outside the Terminal. It took a bit of explaining that they were bins., not a camera, and I was just birdwatching, not a terrorist!
