I clicked on the link Andrew provided and found a very old posting of mine! The information is still correct though (except for my email address). Another VERY good site for Superb Lyrebird is at Mt York-Barden's Lookout (5km from Mt Victoria in the Blue Mountains). However you're looking at about a 2 hour drive from Sydney. Worth every minute, in my opinion!

If you have time, I recommend combining this with a visit to the Capertee Valley. See http://www.bmbirding.com.au/valley.html
