> Ravens have been stealing golf balls from Sydney golf courses for decades. > They apparently think that they are food (?eggs). My local ravens, mainly when they are nesting, steal my hen eggs from the nests (Coburg, Melb.). I can usually tell it is going on from the indignant cackling from the hens and the stomping and clunking on my roof. They do the same at my sister's place near Geelong, standing above the nest box peering between their legs waiting for the next fresh delivery! Have the golfers considered using those orange and other coloured balls. Unless the ravens also had a taste for mandarins and cumquats (mine don't) this might solve the problem!?
