The Ravens then fly to my house & drop them on the roof to crack
them.....& probably to many of the houses that are in the intervening
400m between us & the Chatswood Golf Links.
Once the ball is dropped the Ravens will retrieve the ball & try again.
Having seen (& heard) them do this a few times it is the only reason
I can think of for the occasional cracked roof tiles.

Hi all,
Playing golf last weekend in Sydney, my friend was telling me
that a couple of weeks prior ravens had been "stealing" practically
every ball close to the green on a particular hole. He mentioned
literally dozens of golfers had their golf ball picked up by a
raven, including his and the three golfers he was playing with.
One of the golfers he was with, seeing what was about to happen
got within metres of one of the birds as it "stole" his ball, to no
avail.
The solution by the club (I was told) was to call the local
council who promptly sent a shooter to "remove" the birds in question.
I ask, what are the birds doing? Where are they placing the golf
balls? And lastly is shooting the birds ethical?
I won't mention the club just in case.
