I am too old and non-energetic to dash all over the State for a
Twitchathon as currently carried out. But I might be in for a much
smaller, shorter Twitch, say for our local municipality. This would
have the added benefit of providing something of a check-up on what
birds are present in our district, which could be useful data for local
conservation, as well as a fund-raiser. Our local municipality, Banyule
in Melbourne has a lot of parks - I'm not even sure if it would be
possible to check all of them in one day. Perhaps I'm thinking of a
Twitch cum Census?
